The National Alliance on Mental Illness has a number of resources for those seeking immediate help and support. You can call 1-800-950-6264, text “HelpLine” to 62640or email them at helpline@nami.org.

Howard Center

The Howard Center Mental Health Urgent Care is a free and accessible space for adults (18+) that are experiencing a self defined mental health crisis and need immediate support. They are located at 1 South Prospect Street, Burlington, VT and can be reached at 802-488-6482.

For LGBTQ+ Youth

The Trevor Project offers a chat feature that provides LGBTQ+ youth with a safe space to get help and support, find it below. 

For New Parents

The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline offers support for new parents. Whether you need support while adjusting to parenthood, or you are struggling and need advice, you can call or text 833-852-6262.

SAMSHA

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers a number of resources surrounding mental health and substance use care. They have tools to find a local providers, information about types of treatment, and ways to help cover costs. Find more information here:

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers plenty of information about local organizations and support groups for people and families experiencing mental illness, as well as educational tools for identifying mental illness: Find more information here:
